Deep Root Fertilization for Northern Virginia Backyards
Deep root fertilizing promotes the development of the root itself. If the soil around the root system is compact, it will break the soil up allowing the root system to grow more easily. A healthy tree is a beautiful tree.
How Does It Work?
Holes are drilled about 3 feet apart and 12 to 16 inches deep. We fill the holes with granular fertilizer that releases slowly over the course of about 3 months.
Topical fertilizers are not as effective for some situations. In some cases the fertilizer needs to go directly into the root zone. It is best to have a certified arborist evaluate the tree you are looking to service for your best plan of action.
Richard’s Tree Service is experienced and equipped with top-notch certified arborists that can perform deep root fertilization. If you need a tree evaluation or would like to schedule services, contact us online or call us today.
